Love water activities?  Girl Scout Mariners may be for you!

Girl Scout Mariners are a special Girl Scout group consisting of Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors who have an interest in water activities such as swimming, canoeing, and sailing.

Mariners participate in special events throughout the year:

SUMMER GAM

  • A week-long event in the summer where Mariners compete with their Ships in canoeing, swimming, and land skill events
  • An opportunity to learn nautical skills such as canoeing, sailing, and seamanship
  • Fun activities such as games, campfires, singing, and pranks
  • A great time with Mariner friends
  • The longest standing annual event in GSEM

WINTER GAM

  • A weekend in January to unite with Mariner friends and experience the Mariner program
  • A time for fun - games and activities galore
  • A time for learning - nautical skills and sea shanties
  • A time for friendship - getting to know other Mariners, Skippers, and Barnacles
